Ginger Snap Gravy

Crush 8 ginger snap cookies until fine, using a rolling pin to get to a fine consistency.
Place 1 cup of the sauerbraten marinade into a saucepan.
Add the crushed Ginger snaps to the saucepan. Cook for 2 minutes. Stirring to make sure it remains (lumpless).
Add 1/4 cup sugar to the saucepan marinade.
(If the gravy gets too thick, just add a little water to even it out. It won’t hurt the flavor).
Season with salt to taste.
Place in a gravy boat and serve with the elk sauerbraten.
Serve with mashed potatoes, a favorite vegetable and a whole wheat bread. The hunters won’t go off into the mountains hungry!
