Colorado asking for hunters’ opinions on future regulations of big game seasons

The Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) is requesting public comment and feedback to help determine the 5-year Big Game Season Structure for deer, elk, pronghorn, bear and moose.

Ranchers can earn extra income from walk-in hunting leases

Wildlife commission to vote on waterfowl, small game seasons at Durango on Thursday

The Colorado Wildlife Commission will meet Thursday at the Double Tree Hotel, 501 Camino Drive in Durango for its regular July meeting. The meeting will begin at 8:30 am and adjourn at 3:30 pm.

Small game and furbearer regulations and season dates will be in front of the Commission for final adoption along with migratory bird regulations and season dates. These regulations will include the recent proposals to improve waterfowl hunting on the South Platte River.

Quantity of licenses, other GMU changes are topics of Jan. Wildlife Commission meeting

Wildlife Commission has given notice that regulations will be considered for adoption at their next meeting on Jan. 10-11, 2008. The Wildlife Commission meeting will be held at the Division of Wildlife, Hunter Education Building, 6060 Broadway, Denver, CO
80216.

Open for annual review of the entire chapter, including but not limited to, annual changes to season dates, limited license areas and license numbers, and manner of take provisions for Bighorn sheep and Rocky Mountain goat; annual changes to season dates, limited license areas and manner of take provisions for deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, moose, bear and mountain lion; and annual changes to limited license application and drawing processes, including but not limited to the following:
