Southeast Region Sportsmen’s Advisory Group Meeting

Hunters and anglers interested in learning more about issues facing Colorado’s wildlife are invited to attend a public meeting Nov. 18. The southeast region Sportsmen’s Advisory Group will meet at 6 p.m. at the Colorado Division of Wildlife office at 4255 Sinton Road in Colorado Springs.

4th Annual Georgetown Bighorn Sheep Festival Promises Fall Family Fun

Few animals evoke Colorado’s rugged and unforgiving mountains like the Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. Yet the vertical terrain that keeps sheep safe from predators also limits opportunities for Coloradans to view and appreciate Colorado’s state animal.

DOW Offers Grant Money for Shooting Range Improvements

The Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) is initiating a new grant program to provide funding for shooting ranges and shooting areas in Colorado. The goal of the grant program is to increase public recreational shooting opportunities for hunter education, marksmanship training, youth shooting opportunities and other recreational shooting throughout the state.

Three energy companies are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the person or persons responsible for the poaching of a bighorn sheep ram north of De Beque.
