The Colorado Wildlife Commission finalized 2009 waterfowl season dates and bag limits and heard public comment on the Five-Year Review of Big Game Season Structure at its August 10th workshop in Frisco.

The Colorado Division of Wildlife is investigating a bear attack that injured an Aspen homeowner in her home Monday night. DOW officials are currently attempting to capture the bear in order to euthanize it.

The Colorado Division of Wildlife is assisting the Ouray County Sheriff’s Department and the Ouray County Coroner in investigating the Aug. 7 death of a 74-year-old woman.

The Colorado Division of Wildlife today announced that all “leftover” big game and turkey licenses will go on sale Aug. 11. Leftover licenses are limited elk, deer, pronghorn, bear and turkey licenses that did not sell during the spring drawing/application process.
